Trying to register for classes, but you have a financial hold on your account?
See the information below for more details:
If you have a past due balance, there will be a hold on your account that prevents you from registering for classes. Below are the types of holds you might see and how to address them.
- Past Due – Stop Registration:
- This hold indicates you are past due for the current term.
- Cashiers – Stop Registration:
- This hold means you have a past due balance for a prior term.
- Subject for class cancellation:
- This hold points out a past due balance and that your classes may be subject to cancellation.
All of these holds will block your ability to register for future classes.
To view your holds:
Step 1: Navigate to myzou.missouri.edu and click the “Notifications” tile.
Step 2: Click “Holds” on the left-hand side menu.
- You’ll then see a list of all active holds on your account.
Step 3: Click on each hold for more details.
To remove a financial hold, you must pay all outstanding balances, both current and prior terms. Once account is brought current (payment made), the hold will automatically fall off your account within 30 minutes to an hour. If hold hasn't fallen off on its own, please contact us.
