Are there child care services on campus?
Yes. The MU Department of Human Development and Family Science operates the Child Development Lab, a year-round teacher-training lab school offering child care and preschool for children ages six weeks to five years. Enrollment is limited, and families must apply online.

How can I get around Columbia without a car?

How do I sign up for Mizzou University alerts?
In the event of a campus emergency that could affect the health and safety of students and employees, the University will immediately activate a mass notification system. So that you can be warned of any pending danger, please update your cell phone and/or text messaging contact information.

Ellis Library – Quiet study spaces tucked between the stacks; grab a drink at Bookmark Café.
Memorial Union – Classic architecture with greenery, comfy seating, and outlets. Wheatstone Bistro and Starbucks are nearby.
The Quad – Study outdoors on Francis Quadrangle with a view of the historic Columns.

We take campus safety very seriously at Mizzou. The Mizzou Police Department (MUPD) is an internationally accredited law enforcement agency, recognized by both the Commission on Law Enforcement Accreditation (CALEA) and the International Association of Campus Law Enforcement Administrators (IACLEA).
MUPD works closely with the campus community to promote safety and support students, faculty, staff, and visitors.
